Budget Blinds of Concord (serving Concord, Kannapolis, Hint Hill and Union County) is seeking qualified candidates for our 2023 expansion. Available positions include Entry Level Interior Design Consultant, Entry level Window Treatment Specialist, Senior Window Treatment Specialist, entry level installer and senior installer. Start immediately!

This is an exciting, interesting position that includes both sales and consultation of window fashions. Entry level candidates considered and strongly encouraged to apply!
Background or education in interior design, decorator, fashion helpful, but not required. Our senior window treatment interior designer is one the FIVE best in the United States, so our training is second to none!

We’ll ask you to demonstrate and sell new products, collect unpaid balances due, instruct the customer on how to operate and clean their new window treatments, suggest solutions, and always leave the home better, and customer happier, then you found it!

Responsibilities

• Sales and consultations with home owners on design ideas and product selection.
• Coordinate with the office, sales team, and vendors to resolve any difficult installs or issues.
• Conduct product sales consultations with home owners and commercial decision makers and close sales IN THE HOME.
• Canvass and participate in other lead-generating programs.
• Measure homes and businesses for window treatments.
• Suggest products for sales to home owners and commercial decision makers when appropriate.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, legibly, and on time.
• Installs window treatments, including shades, blinds and shutters in professional manner.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience, inside or outside, a plus, but not required.
• Attention to detail, especially with paperwork.
• Small hand and power tool comfortability.
• Computer literate.
• Self-directed and able to work independently as well as with a team.
• Friendly, courteous, and pleasant with all types of people.
• Ability to learn and install new technology as introduced to the window covering and installation industry.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills are critical when interfacing with all levels of Budget Blinds staff and clients.
• Current and valid driver's license and insurance.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Ability to pass a drug screen test and background check plus clean driving record with no felonies.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and can climb up and down small ladders.
• High school diploma or equivalent completed education level desired.
